Learning Styles I consider learning styles to be important because a teacher should use various methods to make sure each student is reached and can understand the material. In order to do this, I incorporate activities that are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic so they students can learn better. For example, when learning their sight words, I gave the students a booklet with the Fry sight words at the beginning of the year. Everyday, I bring my students to the carpet and review sight words as the students put their fingers on the word when we read it out loud and then move their finger down as we go. This connects to all three learning styles, and I also use YouTube videos like the one to the right that help reinforce the words. The catchy tune, visuals of the words, and opportunity for the students to have a motion/dance move help them remember their sights words even better!
